Client: Southern Border Communities Coalition | Type of Work: Digital Content, Report Design | In-house at Alliance San Diego
The Southern Border Communities Coalition (SBCC) brings together 60 organizations across the U.S. southern border to advocate for the quality of life of border residents, the unique environmental landscapes, and the protection of human rights.
The organic and paid content designed was to call out the 44th President’s policies around the border wall and elevate the real issues facing the people who call the border region home.
Maintain brand integrity and its moral authority on U.S. border policy.
Use royalty-free footage and images to provide context on how expansive the U.S. southern border is to targeted audiences on digital.
Keep video creative under 30 seconds to ensure deliverability in organic feed

I designed the New Border Vision (read the PDF here) document with clear guidance and written content from stakeholders. Using owned content and public-domain images, SBCC published this document and distributed to the congresspeople representing the communities of the southern border region.
I created this video that had 1.1million views that would be critical in swaying 10-plus Senators and Representatives in Washington, D.C. to advocate for the organization’s central mission.
One part of the organic content suite would be to respond in real-time to current events surrounding issues concerning residents of the southern border. These were posted on social to express the discontent at the 44th President’s family detention policies.
We built a funnel to obtain supporter contacts through petitions and convert those users into taking more action with the organization whether that be calling congresspeople, attending activations, or donations.
