problem

Oregon Senator Kate Lieber worked with Wheelhouse NW where I developed a brand identity for her campaign to run in the 2020 elections. I also executed her paid digital media campaign in her road to victory.

objectives

  • Make the candidate’s first name more approachable and recognizable than the last name

  • Emphasize a color palette that solidifies the campaign’s democratic platform

 solution

The solution we arrived at was a tri-color primary logo with varying hues to emphasize a democratic platform to the general public. Orange was selected as an anchor to bring together the contrasting blues.

For name recognition and identity, stylized “Kate” in the softer blue and in lowercase to underscore the approachability of this campaign.

deliverables

These pieces are a sample of organic digital content that was provided for the campaign to serve as a template for political endorsements. Staffers created over 50 versions of these graphics using this template.

This is an 11x6 mailpiece that went out to an estimated 20,000 mailboxes in the Portland Metro area. This was one of two pieces that went out in the November 2020 election.
